Beach Riding on Sea Island

If you are staying at the Sea Island Resort, you can sign up for English or Western style beach rides, nature rides and lessons. Some people bring their horses with them to Sea Island for a week, or the whole season. If you're not staying at the Sea Island Resort, you can contact us directly to schedule your ride.

Our sevices are directed to people who are interested in horseback riding on St. Simons Island, or riding lessons at St. Simons with professional instructors, or Georgia beach rides.  If you want horseback riding at the beach, this is the place to be!

When starting on your beach ride you'll ride a short distance, about two city blocks, across a bridge over the river to get to the trails that lead to the beach.  Beach Rides have been offered on the beach here for years and its a rare and exhilarating experience. Sometimes riders see dolphin pods swimming not far off from shore.a

Sea Island has an expanded equestrian program managed by the experienced staff of the Stables at Frederica.  They've done a lovely job of integrating the stables and other facilities into the natural surroundings. There is plenty of space for the horses too, including four 16-stall barns,  There are also 3 outdoor arenas and a cross country training course available.
