Northwest Friesian Horse Club (NWFHC) is proudly recognized as a Regional Chapter affiliated with the Friesian Horse Association of North America, FHANA , which is the official North American representative of the Dutch Registry, the Friesch Paarden-Stamboek FPS.
This club is for people who love the Friesian horse, want to learn more about the breed, have fun and meet fellow Friesian horse owners. Owning a horse is not a requirement.

Eric Smith on Genetics and Breeding Clinic Jan 10, 2013
As proposed at the NWFHC AGM we have planned a one day presentation by Eric Smith on Genetics and Breeding, how to understand your horses lineage, and how to develop your Breeding Goals.
Presentation Objective
How to Evaluate your mares genetics and how this impacts the breeding program for your mare.
Eric works closely with the Fenway foundation as the geneticist and consultant.
He is also a runner for the Friesian Keurings in the Midwest. Eric is an approved breeding clinician for FHANA, he is someone who has a lot to share about the breeding, characteristics, and goals of the Friesian horse. Eric recently did a webinar for FHANA on Keuring Prep and Explanations. The video is available on the FHANA website under Library.
The meeting will take place on February 9 at Dave & Cathy Petrie's home in Maple Valley. We will start the meeting @ 9.30 AM and will wrap up no later than 5 pm., a small lunch/snack will be provided. If you are in need of a hotel, the towns of Renton or Issaquah are your best choices. Dave and Cathy's place is about 20 min. from each one of them.
Eric would like for you to bring a copy of the registration paper and linear score sheet of the mare you would like to breed. He will use this in his presentation.

 Ann Davis Receives ADS Presidents Award for 2012 Dec 24, 2012
Long time member of the Northwest Friesian Horse Club Ann Davis, has won the prestigious ADS Presidents Award for 2012. We are very proud of her. Ann has worked tirelessly for the sport of driving and representing the Friesian breed and the Northwest Friesian Horse Club. Congratulations Ann on a well desrved award.
